If another 65 huge names added to the line up wasn’t enough for you, we’re also back with another instalment of the Dog Blog.
Last year, the Dog Blog started as a way to give you, the Download Customer, information in a transparent way and show you the workings behind the best rock festival in the world. Now we’re back to answer your questions and put your suggestions into practice.
Before we get into any of that, we’re thrilled to be able to let you know some of the activities we’re welcoming back to Download 2018. Demolition Download will see fighters from all over Europe who will gather to take each other on in team and mass battles to be champions at this full force, full contact sport.
Download’s resident tattooists, Old Sarum will be back and ready to ink the masses, for those who want a more permanent memento of their weekend.
The Village will once again be packed with offerings late into the night including The Side Splitter Stage, featuring hilarious stand ups, circus performers and musical comedy and the Village Cinema where you can kick back and revel in all the action.
And if you’re looking to rock out into the night The Doghouse will feature the boardie takeover, Download club nights and performances from the Circus of Horrors.
Lastly, thank you to those of you who filled out our suggestion form, keep your eyes peeled below to see if your question has been answered and please keep your ideas coming in here.

What are the restrictions on bags within the Arena this year?
Your safety is our priority and we’ve put in place all necessary measures to maximise public safety, working closely with local authorities at the highest level. We ask that you also play a part in keeping Download Festival safe and secure, so please take note of our messages below, pack accordingly and stay strong together.
All festival goers will be subject to extra searches of their vehicles, bags and their person. Please be patient if there are longer queues than normal. We request that you cooperate with any security requests and searches. Please pack light!
CCTV recording is in operation throughout the festival site for public safety and crime prevention.

It provides experienced, caring and confidential help for all kinds of practical and personal problems, as well as offering general assistance and advice, counselling, a messages service and help for distressed/missing people.
The Welfare Tent also offers a recovery area for patients from medical and emergency shelter with camper mats and sleeping bags.

Yes! In true Download Family style, you can join Camp Loner on Facebook and Twitter. Camp Loner is the place to meet many other people in the same position, looking to find new people to hang out and enjoy the festival with. There’s also a dedicated section on the Download Forum for Camp Loner.
