Behind the scenes The Download Team are hard at work looking at what we can improve for 2019 and there is no one better to tell us that than you the fans. Download has always included you in the planning of the Festival and next year will be no different, so we want to hear your questions, ideas, suggestions, thoughts and comments on how we can make Download 2019 even bigger and better.
Fill in this short form to share your questions, ideas and suggestions, but keep any comments about the line-up for another time!
One thing we have already started on is the infrastructure at Donington Park, looking at what we can install on a permanent basis to improve the facilities we offer and how we can reduce the impact we have on the environment and local road infrastructure during the build & break of the Festival. This is a very exciting time for us as MSV, the new owners of Donington Park, are also investing in the venue and we will be working with them on joint projects, such as: roads, water supplies, drainage, telecoms and access routes.
This will mean that over the next 4-5 years you will see some significant improvements at the venue that will be good for all of us. Certain facilities like the Village and Arena Entrance may change location, but we will keep you updated and give you as much information as possible so you know where everything is.
The team are also looking at what we provide apart from the stages. We have funfairs, the new Sindrome, food, bars, markets and merchandise in the Arena and the Campsite Village that has become a mini Festival within a Festival over the years, but what else would you like to see? Again, fill in this form to send us your ideas.
We will be back in January with more information and more of an insight in to what goes on behind the scenes during the planning stages of Download, including: pictures, videos and interviews with some of the people who make the World’s biggest and best Rock Festival happen for you!
