Everything To Expect From Iron Maiden’s Legacy Of The Beast Headline Show

Iron Maiden‘s epic Legacy Of The Beast show is coming to Download 2020!

The tour so far has covered no less than 29 countries, from Austria to the United States, with another 35 shows yet to come this year. Maiden have also been taking some awesome bands out on the road as support acts, including Killswitch Engage, Gojira and The Raven Age.

Here’s what you can expect when the Legacy Of The Beast arrives at Donington.

a huge career spanning set list

If you don’t want any set list spoilers, look away now! The Legacy Of The Beast tour features all the greatest hits from Maiden’s epic 40 year career. It’s also made up of three unique themed acts: war, religion and hell.

The war themed set will feature the likes of ‘Aces High’, ‘2 Minutes To Midnight’, and of course, ‘The Trooper’. In the second half, the stage turns into a church, meaning you can expect ‘Flight Of Icarus’ and ‘Revelations’ amongst others.

Finally, we’re on a one way trip to hell, so get ready for ‘The Number Of The Beast’ and ‘Iron Maiden’.

plenty of pyro

It wouldn’t be an Iron Maiden show without pyro, so at the Legacy Of The Beast show, expect more explosions than Bonfire Night. The tour has featured fireworks aplenty, as well as a gigantic wall of fire during one particular song (we won’t spoil it for you!). Not to mention the awesome moment when Bruce takes to the stage equipped with a FLAMETHROWER. Looks like things are gonna heat up at Donington.

jaw dropping stage production

This could well be Maiden’s most extravagant stage show to date. A giant Spitfire suspended over the stage. A 10-foot tall Eddie having a sword fight. A larger than life inflatable devil. Bruce having more costume changes than Beyonce. This isn’t just a gig – it’s essentially a full scale theater production, but a metal one.

If you’re hyped for some Legacy action (we don’t blame you), you may be interested to know that you don’t need to wait until June to get some. The tour was actually inspired by the band’s mobile game of the same name.

In the game you play as Eddie through a series of worlds inspired by Maiden’s music. There’s even an accompanying comic book! Get absorbed in the world of Legacy Of The Beast and get ready to see it live at Donington in June!
