It’s Friday! There’s less than a week to go until Download 2019. Can today get ANY better?
Don’t miss Wolf Jaw when they play THREE times next week at #DL2019! Catch them on Thursday from 8pm in the RIP Village, on Friday from 3pm in the Carlsberg Danish Quarter Stage and on Sunday at 11.50am on the Dogtooth Stage.
‘Hear Me’ is everything you want in a track with dirty distorted riffs, heart lacerating beats and a chorus so catchy you’ll be singing it in your sleep.
Wolf Jaw front man Tom Leighton said about the track: “‘Hear Me’ is the first song we wrote for our upcoming second album. It’s an outcry against not being listened to and not being understood – something that’s happened to us all at some point in our lives. In the studio, I was right up in the mic like a boxer facing off against their opponent in the ring. It was a really raw, powerful song to record. It’s not just the lyrics that are vicious, though; The riffs have some serious kick to them…perfect for rocking out to!”
It’s an exciting time for the Cannock blues-rock trio as they recently signed a deal with Listenable Records- a label recently renowned for breaking French metal quartet Gojira and Dutch metalcore act Textures.
Under their new label, Wolf Jaw will begin preparations to release the as-yet-unnamed follow-up to their critically-acclaimed 2018 debut album ‘Starting Gun’. If the ferociousness of ‘Hear Me’ is anything to go by, it’s going to be a record that rocks the house down.
