It’s that time of the week again – #NewMusicFriday!
dream theater – ‘distance over time’
The wait is finally over – Dream Theater’s FOURTEENTH album is here at last. That’s right; it’s been 20 YEARS since their debut ‘When Dream And Day Unite’, and the prog-rock legends show no sign of slowing down. ‘Distance Over Time’ is packed with ambient hooks and solos galore. Get practicing your air guitar now.
delain – ‘hunter’s moon’
Dutch symphonic metallers Delain are back with new EP ‘Hunter’s Moon’. Not only does it contain four stonking new tracks, including latest single ‘Masters Of Destiny’, there’s also a bunch of live material. Get stuck into live versions of the likes of ‘The Gathering’ and ‘Danse Macabre’ for a perfect warm up to their set at Donington this summer.
badflower – ‘ok, i’m sick’
If you’ve yet to get into LA rockers Badflower, there’s no better time than now, with the release of their debut full length ‘OK, I’m Sick’. It’s a pick ‘n’ mix bag of hard rock riffs and grooves, blended with the attitude of punk and the angst of emo. We defy you not to sing along.
last in line – ‘II’
Last In Line might be, er, last in line this week, but they’re by no means least, as ‘II’ is nothing short of epic. The ex-Dio members (including Vivian Campbell, also of Def Leppard) are doing their own thing these days, and it’s metal AF. We’ll be blaring ‘Gods And Tyrants’ all weekend.
