New Music Friday: Volbeat, The Pretty Reckless, Sepultura and Holding Absence

It’s time for New Music Friday – and it’s a big one this week!

Volbeat have released a FULL live concert from their ‘Rewind, Replay, Rebound World Tour’. There’s also a short spooky single from The Pretty Reckless and new releases from Sepultura and Holding Absence!

Volbeat live in Hamburg

Volbeat have released the full concert from their 2019 headliner show in Hamburg. Taken from their ‘Rewind, Replay, Rebound World Tour’, this set shows off everything that makes the Great Danes one of the best live bands around, with epic stage production and killer heavy riffage throughout! Check it out for a taster of what’s in store at Donington next year.

Get spooky with the pretty reckless

The Pretty Reckless are making spooky season their own with the release of ‘Broomsticks’. The short track comes with a creepy animated video that wouldn’t look out of place in a Tim Burton film! There’s also a teaser for something else dropping November 13th – set your reminders \m/.

Sepultura cover ‘tainted love’

Brazilian thrash legends Sepultura have been putting out loads of awesome content recently! They’ve now dropped a heavy rendition of Soft Cell’s classic ‘Tainted Love’. If that wasn’t enough, they’ve also dropped a quarantine performance of their track ‘Phantom Self’ featuring Mark Holcomb of Periphery!

Holding Absence drop ‘Beyond belief’

Holding Absence have released the first single off their upcoming album ’The Greatest Mistake Of My Life’. The track easily meets the high standards the band has set for themselves, with a ridiculously catchy chorus and Lucas’s vocals sounding as huge as ever!

We’re all missing live music in lockdown, but some awesome bands from the rock and metal scene are delivering regular livestreams. Here’s what’s coming up:

PUP – ‘This Stream Sucks Ass‘ – October 23rd

Fever 333 – ‘Wrong Generation Demonstration‘ – October 23rd

Ice Nine Kills – ‘I Heard They Kill Live‘ – October 29th

Black Stone Cherry – ‘Live From The Sky‘ – October 30th
