New Music Friday – Whitesnake, Underoath, TESLA, DELAIN, Parting Gift

Here we go again! It’s New Music Friday and this week’s tracks are going to blow the doors off of the start of your weekend.

Whitesnake think ‘Trouble Is Your Middle Name’, Underoath have ‘Bloodlust’, TESLA give us a ‘Shock’, DELAIN have ‘Nothing Left’ and Parting Gift are ‘Without Sin’.

Whitesnake drop new track ‘Trouble Is Your Middle Name’

David Coverdale is here to tell you that your middle name isn’t ‘Todd’ or ‘Mae’, it’s TROUBLE, in this brand new track taken from Whitesnake‘s upcoming new album, ‘Flesh & Blood’, set for release on 10th May.

‘Trouble Is Your Middle Name’ is a bluesy belter that’ll have you pumping your fists in the air to its catchy as hell, roaring chorus at #DL2019. It’s the second track the band have shared from ‘Flesh & Blood’ after releasing the video for ‘Shut Up & Kiss Me’, featuring Coverdale’s iconic ‘Here I Go Again’ white jaguar.

Don’t miss our interview with Whitesnake’s David Coverdale next week.

Take a bite out of Underoath’s new video for ‘Bloodlust’

Underoath have released a haunting new video, shot in black and white, for their track ‘Bloodlust’. The song is the fourth single to be taken from the Floridian’s  eighth album, ‘Erase Me’, which was released last year.

Speaking about the clip, drummer Aaron Gillespie explained: “For ‘Bloodlust’, which picks up where ‘ihateit’ left off, [singer] Spencer [Chamberlain] and I were chained to a pole for three hours with a stranger, who was the actress.

“Making this video was a really interesting process, because the song deals with a lot of deep issues and struggles. But it was so late when we were filming that we were just hysterical. The video seems so serious due to the lyrical content, but it was a night.”

Tesla give us a ‘Shock’ with a new video premiere

Cali rockers, TESLA are here to give you a shot in the arm with pure rock in the official video for the title track of their latest album, ‘Shock’, which was co-written and produced by Def Leppard’s Phil Collen.

Speaking to Classic Rock, TESLA guitarist Frank Hannon said about the track: “We thought it was a great title for the song, but then it felt like the title for the album as well….It’s got some of the most meticulous production that we’ve ever had on a song, and that’s all because of Phil”.

Delain release the official live video for ‘Nothing Left’, feat Nightwish’s Marco Hietala

We all know ‘Nothing Left’, from DELAIN‘s second album ‘April Rain’, is an epic soundscape. Now, the Dutch symphonic band have scaled new heights with the track by releasing a live video.

The band dropped the video to mark the 10 year anniversary since the track was first released. In the video Charlotte Wessels and Marco Hietala sing in a hypnotic duet with every inch of their soul – if you don’t get goosebumps watching it, you’re officially dead.

Parting Gift share their “most cherished creation”, ‘Without A Sin’

Manchester’s Parting Gift have shared new track ‘Without A Sin’, taken from their upcoming EP, Ensom, which is released next Friday 22nd March on Fearless Records.

The follow-up to their previous single ‘Pale’, the track aims straight for the heart with swirling synths and soaring melodies. Check out our Riff Radar with Parting Gift to find out more about the Manchester up and comers.
