Download Festival - Home

Here we are – the second instalment of New Music Fridays – where, while we wait for next year’s festival, we select our favourite heaviest tracks of recent for you to wrap your ears round. Listen on, DL family…

Cassels – ‘Where Baseball Was Invented’

The noise-punk brother duo – who previously released a music video in which they’re showing their new (and explicit) track to their grandparents – just released their debut album ‘Epithet’. This latest single is ready to kick the crap out of you – in the best way.

Ho9909 – ‘War Is Hell’

These guys are weird as anything – and we love it. Their amalgamation of rap, punk, industrial and hardcore creates a blistering live show, and this track represents everything they’re about; furious feralness. Their album ‘United States Of Horrror’ is out now.

Pierce The Veil – ‘Today I Saw The Whole World’

Alongside a brilliant video, Pierce The Veil’s new track is an epic mix of screamo, pop-punk and pure shred. Released as an EP, which features an incredible acoustic version of the song, PTV are on form.

Touts – ‘Bomb Scare’

The turbulent Irish trio’s latest track is a sobering blast of fury. The punk rockers are a breath of fresh air – just listen and you’ll see what we mean.

All Pigs Must Die – Hostage Animal

The supergroup featuring members of Converge, The Hope Conspiracy, Bloodhorse and Trap Them (can we just say – wow, WHAT a line up) have released a new blisteringly brutal track. This title track of their new album, out 27 October, sounds somewhere between black metal and American hardcore.
