The second UK Air Guitar Championships returned to #DL2019 for a rifftastic second year.
Hosted by DR HAZE and the Circus of Horrors, throughout the weekend Downloaders competed for a place in the final with sick solos, riotous riffs and high-flying kicks.
The final on Sunday started with a bang as Sven Spandex, Download’s first UK Air Guitar champion, opened with his band Dirty Rose. Sven brought with him a very special guest all the way from Japan – the current World Air Guitar Champion – Nanami ‘Seven Seas’.
Taking the esteemed role of Head Judge at the final was singer of the world famous Dr and the Medics ‘Spirit In The Sky’ – Rev Dr Clive Jackson! WWE NXT’s Eric Bugenhagen also joined the judging panel and wowed the crowd his own awesome air guitar moves.
After a fiercely fought final Two Faced Mary was crowned the UK Air Guitar Champion! Two Faced Mary will now represent the UK at the World Air Guitar Championship this August.
