Download 2019 was absolutely epic! We had out of this world headline performances from the iconic Def Leppard, the mighty Slipknot and legendary Tool.
It was a festival of first and lasts as Slayer played their last EVER UK show, Simple Creatures played their first UK festival and Tool returned to Download for the first time 12 years!
Across all four stages Downloaders rocked out hard to over a hundred band from across globe, including Mongolian throat singers The Hu, Japanese power metallers Lovebites and Sweden’s death metal titans, Amon Amarth.
WWE NXT UK Live! made its Download debut in a brand spanking new location in the Main Arena. The SINDROME returned for a second year to make Downloaders gasp with more sick shows from the likes of Chilean death metal puppets Bullicio Puppets, medieval mayhem with Demolition Download , the UK Air Guitar Championships and more.
For the first time ever, Downloaders at #DL2019 took a break from moshing hard to immerse themselves in mindfulness session as part of our new Mind The Dog programme in The Doghouse.
Download 2019 was a blast but Download 2020 is going to be explosive!
