Play your part in making Download Festival happen by joining the volunteer Dog Squad with Hotbox Events!

Download Dog Squad volunteers only work 3 x 8 hour shifts spread over the course of the festival from Wednesday to Monday, which means you’ll still have loads of time off-shift to enjoy the festival! You’re guaranteed at least 2 of the main festival evenings off to watch the bands and as you’ll get to pick your shifts in advance, you can make sure you’re not working when your favourite artists are performing!
In return, you’ll get loads of exclusive crew-only perks – like a crew campsite and car parking, private toilets and hot showers, free phone charging and wi-fi, discounted catering and unlimited hot drinks!
The Dog Squad volunteers can be found all over the Download Festival site, from answering questions about set times and stages in the arena to getting a bird’s eye view of the festival from the observation towers around the site, providing a friendly welcome to campers as soon as they arrive at the event or patrolling the campsites to make sure all the Downloaders are having the best time possible at the festival!
Plus, you’ll be able to make friends for life amongst our volunteer team! It doesn’t matter if you’re on your own or with a group of friends as 50% of our volunteers attend on their own the first year, then make friends at the festival that they return to volunteer with year after year. And it doesn’t stop with Download’s Dog Squad, you can volunteer with Oxfam and Festival Angels, too!
