You will collect the essential companion wristband from the box office when you arrive at the festival. Every box office has an accessibility window, so you will be able to collect these from any box office you check in at.
If it is the case that one companion will leave and a second companion will take over, we will need to remove the first companion’s wristband when they leave. A new wristband will then be provided for the second companion. This will be issued at the box office, and you will be required to meet them both there for the switchover.
Please be aware that you are required to always have an essential companion with you.
If you plan to attend Download with an essential companion, they must arrive at the event with you to collect their festival wristband.
Essential companions cannot arrive in advance as they will not be given entry into the festival.
