Camping at Download Festival but don’t have a tent? Check out our tent buying guide:
- Do you need to buy one? Look into tent hire services as well as asking around to borrow one. Pre-pitched tent options will also be available with details to be confirmed closer to the event.
- If you do decide on buying one, we recommend investing in one that can survive the weekend. Not only is it better for the environment but it also saves you money in the long run!
- When buying a tent make sure to read the reviews and do some research. Some tents are more waterproof than others so look out for the HH rating which tells you how much water the tent can handle – generally you want one with a rating higher than HH1500 but we recommend a HH3000 one to stay warm and dry.
- Give your tent a test run before the festival and become a tent packing pro. You’ll thank yourself on the Monday morning!
Bags must be A4 size or under (30cm height x 8cm depth x 21cm width) in order to enter the arena. These bag restrictions apply ONLY to the arena and not to the campsites.
All Downloaders will be subject to extra searches of their bags (as well as their vehicles and their person).
We have over 150 food and drink options with something for everyone across the site:
- District X: our campsite village offers breakfast through to dinner and everything in between. Plus in 2024 we introduced our food stage, so keep an eye out for our food line-up for 2025!
- Main Arena: as well as traders around the site, don’t miss our street food area, Welder’s Yard, located at the top of the Main Arena. This area hosts some of our favourite food traders, alongside the Beer Hall, cocktail bars, and Bar Zero, our alcohol-free bar. With ample seating, this is the perfect social spot between your favourite artists, so grab yourself a drink and tuck into some of the amazing food on offer.
- Campsites: you can also find additional options within camping areas
Dietary Requirements
We are continuously looking to grow our ‘free-from’ traders, whether that’s 100% Vegan or 100% Coeliac friendly.
In 2024 we had over 30 different traders offering a gluten-free main and a further 5 who were solely coeliac-friendly. Along with 7 designated vegan traders, including the UK’s first 100% plant based Portuguese food, Vegan Fish & Chips and plant based Chinese classics.
There will be a full range of official merchandise available to buy at the festival from several official outlets, including our Megastore! The locations of these will be found on the site map once released closer to the festival.
Alternatively, you can buy merchandise online from the Official Shop.
